Imaginary Foods

“I was in the familiar mood characterized by a perfect craving for luxury, and the story began as an attempt to feed that craving on imaginary foods.” – F. Scott Fitzgerald comments on ‘The Diamond as Big as the Ritz’

My craving–my drug, my malady, my luxury–is for travel. I’m so at home as a nomad, constantly feasting on new sights and cities, that I hardly recognize my provenance anymore. Here’s to hoping that I’ll be traveling again soon!
